Books On Wheels

A. Books on Wheels is a volunteer service that delivers library materials
to patrons who are unable to come to the Library for health or physical
reasons. The service may be used on either a temporary or permanent basis.
Magazines, books, large print books, paperback books, music CDs, books-on-tape
or CD, DVDs and videos can all be delivered. Materials are selected according
to patron preference. Patrons use their own equipment to listen to or
view materials.
A. The service is free! Delivery is provided by trained volunteers or
Library staff in order to serve our community more comprehensively.
A. After you are signed up for Books on Wheels, you can set up a regular
schedule for pick up and delivery with your volunteer. It is possible
to request specific titles and authors, or rely on the volunteer to bring
a small supply of books, audiotapes or videotapes. Books can also be renewed
by phone, provided there are no other patron requests for the materials.
You are responsible for any lost or damaged materials.
A. For temporary or long-term delivery simply call Andy
Angstrom, Volunteer Coordinator at 307-733-2164 ext. 255 or email
aangstrom@will.state.wy.us for a quick interview. The Volunteer Coordinator
will ask you for information about your reading preferences and any limitations
that will affect your reading materials.
There is a group of dedicated volunteers
ready to deliver books and Library materials to you!
