Electricity Conservation
Teton County Library

Regular energy audits help the library identify ways to curb energy consumption. Already, the library has:

● Programmed the library’s heating/cooling system to save energy by running the system at lower levels when the building is unoccupied.

● Modified existing electrical equipment in order to reduce the total number of electrical pumps needed to run the building systems.

● Installed sensor controls in high-traffic staff areas to automatically switch off lights in unoccupied rooms.

● Harnessed solar energy to light up the library’s flagpole and bus shelter.
