Moving Day for Alta Branch

Moving Day is coming soon to the Alta Branch Library! We are only a month away from when we need to start closing up the bookmobile and getting settled into the new branch library. Can you believe we are almost there?!! The bookmobile will be closed starting on Monday, November 16 so that library staff can focus on getting the shelves, books, computers, etc. moved into the building. We’ll be spending the two weeks from November 16 through 30 preparing everything

Alta Branch Library Design

I’m delighted to let you know that the Library Board approved the overall design schematics for the new Alta Branch Library at its board meeting yesterday in Alta. There’s a lovely reading area in the southeast corner with nearly perfect views of the Tetons to the east. A separate children’s area is surrounded by low book stacks and has southern windows looking out to a future children’s garden. Design/Build Team for Alta Branch Library Selected

I’m delighted to let you know that the Library Board has selected Shaw Construction & Humphries Poli Architects as the Design/Build Team for the Alta Branch Library project. Four firms made the short list and all were well qualified. The tipping point in favor of this team is their experience with designing libraries.
