Why a Library addition and renovation?

In 1994, we planned for our library to serve us well into the future. Now, in 2010, we’re using the library more-- and in ways no one ever imagined in 1994. Library use has exceeded the initial 20-year design plan, and we need more space and a renovation to upgrade our current infrastructure.

The library addition and renovation will give you…

The addition and renovation will total 35,000 square feet, adding 11,000 of new space and renovating 24,000 of existing space. The library is requesting $8.45 million for the project on the Specific Purpose Excise Tax (SPET) ballot on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 as Proposition #3.
