Increase onsite and remote access to Library collections through technological, structural and operational innovations.
Improve physical design and flow of collections
- Map current collections layout
- Determine functional needs of each collection
- Research and select shelving options for short-term and long-term
Improve community’s access to collections
- Examine circulation & Interlibrary Loan policies
- Develop process for patrons to be able to place holds on items-on-order
- Improve checkout/discharge/shelving processes to get materials back on shelves faster
- Create more user-friendly interface between TCL homepage and electronic databases and online catalog, for in-house computers and remote access
