Library Board chooses Design Option for Library Addition
Other features of the layout include creation of a dedicated teen space, an e-commons and additional computer space. More study areas are shown in the both “wings” of the library, for children and teens, as well as for adults. A potential reconfiguration of the parking lot is designed to enhance pedestrian access to the building.
Option A+ is a modified version of one of the three design options presented to the public this month. After listening to comments from community members and staff, the architects took their pencils back to Option A to incorporate the feedback they heard. This really was a case where we heard what you said and took it to heart in the design process.
The next step is for the architects to move forward in their development of this design. They will present the next phase of the design on Wednesday, January 13 at 5:30 p.m. Then the Library Board will meet on Thursday, January 14 at 3:00 p.m. to review those plans and, hopefully, continue to give the thumbs up to the design.
