Volunteer Opportunities at the Library
- Thanks to all our volunteers!
Friendly Reminder for all Friends: Please sign in the volunteer log! But, where’s the log? Go through the “Staff Only” door to your right as you enter the adult section of the library. Toward the back of the main room, on the left, look for the sign above the desk that reads, “Volunteers! Please Sign-In here.”
For more information or to sign up for volunteer opportunities, call or email Lokey Lytjen, Community Program Coordinator: , 733-2164 ext. 255.
Friends Book Nook: Volunteers are needed to staff the Friends ongoing book sale. If you can volunteer once a week for several months, we would love to have your help. Or if you would like to share a shift with someone and work every other week, we can do that. Volunteers sell books and coffee, visit with patrons, and help to stock the book nook.
Volunteer Individual Tax Assistance Program: Volunteers participate in training to become certified to assist with tax preparation for individuals needing help. Requires training, certification, and a time commitment during the winter months. Very rewarding activity and volunteers return year after year.
Book Reviewers Needed: We need Book Reviewers! Volunteers will need to participate in our “How to Write a Book Review” training and submit three reviews between November and June to receive Bagel Bucks from Pearl St. Bagels! Give a shout if you want to be part of this very useful, literary community.
Special Skills Needed for Youth Wing: Help teens by showing them around the library’s new media equipment.
