Presented by Wyoming Humanities Council,
Teton County Library, Jackson Hole News & Guide and
Planet Jackson Hole.

Whether you read newspapers online or in print, you're invited to delve deeper into the issues of the day by joining a monthly conversation of current valley and global events. "There are no parameters, except that people are encouraged to read," says editor Angus Thuermer. "We'll discuss whatever people want to about the reports, the practice of reporting, and journalism."

The conversation will focus on five newspapers: Jackson Hole News & Guide, Planet Jackson Hole, Casper-Star Tribune, Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Readers can find the newspapers on the rack, online or at the library. No preparation is required.

Jackson resident Walt Thulin discovered an engaging exchange when he participated in a similar news-driven discussion led by a state university. Listening to others share insights and questions about the day's events helped broaden his own interest in and understanding of the news, he says.

"What was intriguing about it was here was an opportunity for people to discuss what was going on in the world - locally, nationally and internationally," Thulin says.
