Teton County Library and Jackson Hole Writers bring teens and authors together for an inspiring (and free!) camp. Pre-registration is required for all workshops, register at jhwriters.org.

Workshop: Scott Savage

10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Middle Grade author J. Scott Savage teaches "10 Tools to Bring Your Writing to Life" at this writing camp for teens. Learn how to build worlds, use details to add reality and make characters come to life. Savage is the creator of the Farworld series and the Mysteries of the Cove series. "Zombie Kid," the first book in the Case File 13 series is a Junior Library Guild selection. All levels welcome.  Location: Youth Auditorium. Free.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy Writing Camp Featured Speaker:
T.A. Barron

"Magical Worlds & Inspiring Heroes" All Ages! Jackson Hole Writers and Teton County Library invite kids, parents and adults who refuse to grow up to award-winning author T.A. Barron's presentation "Magical Worlds and Inspiring Heroes." Barron is the author of "The Merlin Saga," "The Atlantis Saga," "High as a Hawk," and "The Day the Stones Walked." Barron's talk is open to everyone and part of a new Sci-Fi & Fantasy Writing Camp designed to encourage middle grade and high school students to explore different genres of creative writing. Location: Ordway Auditorium. Free.

Workshop: Amy Kathleen Ryan

1-4 p.m.

Jackson Hole High School graduate and award-winning writer Amy Kathleen Ryan is the author of "The Sky Chasers" trilogy. Published in 15 countries, the story's themes are survival, morality, religion and power. School Library Journal selected her book, "Glow," as a Best Book of 2011. All levels welcome. Free. Location: Youth Auditorium. 

Workshop: Peggy Eddleman

WED, JUNE 21
10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Middle Grade author Peggy Eddleman is the author of "Sky Jumpers," nominated for numerous awards and ABA's Best Book of 2013. She teaches young writers to get their incredible ideas down on paper. Free. Location: Youth Auditorium.
